As part of the team’s support for local communities, eir Business NI are once again backing Byte Night and supporting the drive for Action for Children for the 5th year running. A team of 10 individuals across the organisation will be participating in the Byte Night ‘sleep-out’ event, Action for Children’s biggest annual fundraiser. Each year, hundreds of like minded people from the technology and business arena give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. With ten Byte Night events across the UK, the aim is to raise in excess of £1.4 million.
Darren Lemon, general manager at eir Business NI is co-chair of Byte Night Northern Ireland this year. With his supportive team from across the company, he will sleep out on Friday 6th October 2017 at the Pavillion, Stormont. The company are also running a number of fundraising initiatives in advance of the event to help raise as much funds as possible. This includes their annual quiz night which sets out to raise in excess of £2,000. The company is also contributing £8,000 in funds through the eir Fund initiative to help support this worthy cause.
