People 1st expansion supported by eir Business NI

Northern Ireland’s leading training organisation People 1st has awarded a contract to eir Business NI to provide the communications platform to expand their Northern Ireland operations into the South.

With six offices across Belfast, Banbridge, Lisburn and Newry, People 1st have been building up a successful vocational and corporate training business across Northern Ireland. A major contract holder for the Department for Employment and Learning, People 1st have recently expanded their services to offer similar support programmes south of the border to help people find and keep employment.

With this expansion of operations, People 1st recognised the need for a robust network that would underpin its operations and ensure reliable communications between its office locations now and into the future, including three offices in Donegal, based in Letterkenny, Buncrana and Dungloe.

Working with their IT partner, the company chose eir Business NI based on its expertise and its commitment to service excellence as well as its unmatched capability in providing a seamless network between the north and south of Ireland. Ronan Heenan, Director at People 1st, said: “Our business is about our people and the skills we have to deliver a first-class service to our clients. But just like any organisation today, effective online communications is now vital to what we do. This is critical to us so we can concentrate on providing a premium client service across the Island of Ireland.”

Commenting on the announcement, eir Business NI Sales and Marketing director Matt McCloskey said “The network we designed for People 1st is managed from our Network Operations Centre in Belfast. Not only do we monitor its availability but also its performance so that it’s always running at its peak.
